I wore the rubber lizard necklace to the fruit and veg market and the guy who sold me apples was so taken with it he called over a co-worker. I like to think that what I enjoy about these moments is seeing the delight in the crazy idea (lizards glued together, claw to claw and curled tail to curled tail) reflected in someone else's eyes -- their enjoyment echoing my own when I made it -- but in fact I have a suspicion it's just my narcissistic little self getting a buzz out of being the centre of attention...
